Paliseul, is a small village in the Ardennes, nestled within the valleys of the rivers Lesse and Semois. It is surrounded with magnificent forests and is host to a beautiful Auberge, l'auberge de la hutte lurette, hotel and restaurant of the ardennes.
To this day, near the station of Paliseul you can still see ruins of the abandoned village of Bergimont. In fact, in that precise place, an old woman once lived there in a hut. She gave assistance and food to the unfortunate people struck by the plague. Her name was Lurette. This is how the hotel restaurant got his name.
In the entrance of the restaurant, you will be able to admire exhibitions from local artists. As you progress into the next modern section near the entrance to the hotel, you will enter our splendid veranda which is bathed with natural light.
At the other end of the veranda, you will be offered your aperitif, coffee or sweets. From there, you can sit comfortably enjoying the view of the garden while you supervise your children playing safely on the lawn.
Please inquire about group facilities and seminars. We can easily host large groups of over 200 people for meals or banquets. We have a very large car park and street parking is also available for tour buses.
Our establishment is small, but we warmly welcome all of our guests as our personal friends.
The Weekend of Culinary Delights includes dinner on Friday night, breakfast, lunch and a scrumptious dinner feast on Saturday night, as we;; as breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
The ‘Weekend Extravaganza’ includes dinner on Friday night, breakfast, lunch and an exquisite dinner feast on Saturday night, plus breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
The ‘Mid-Week’ promotion starts on Monday afternoon through Friday morning and includes a 4 day half board stay.
Our hotel includes 7 rooms, with either a double bed or twin beds. Some rooms can host 3 people. All of our rooms are fitted with private bathrooms including a bathtub or shower and toilettes.
Each room is also fitted with a direct telephone line and a TV featuring most of the international channels.
We regularly host groups from all over Belgium and The Netherlands taking part in a walking expedition where they travel from village to village. We offer free transport services and will drop off your luggage at your next stop so you can embark on your journey, travel lightly, and enjoy the scenery at your own leisure. Your belongings will be waiting for you when you reach your next destination.

From Sept. 1st to 30th we will delight your palate with a variety of seafood dishes. Thanks to our daily delivery we can guarantee a similar quality to what you would get on the Belgian coast line.
From October 6th until December 17th we will introduce you to local game found in our region with a selection of dishes guaranteed to satisfy the most demanding guests.
Our region offers many possibilities from walking in a quiet forest or large fields, to hiking in more hilly areas. You can easily connect from village to village by foot, using easy maps to find your way around. If you are less adventurous you can explore the villages by car. You can find very interesting remains of past civilizations.
The Giant Tomb
The river dug its way through the sediment and carved this majestic formation. Trees have grown over it and the final shape resembles a tomb, of course a Giant one….
Near a very old water powered mill, the river carved a long beach-like area where you can organize a picnic, spend an afternoon sunbathing or swimming in the river. There are also many places where you can rent a kayak. You can embark on a journey following the river through its turns in the forest, quite possibly one of the nicest memories you can create.
